It was believed until last century that the universe had a fixed size, that it didn’t contract or expand. However, a number of discoveries in the twentieth century proved, beyond any doubts, that the universe expands at enormous speeds. This means that the universe today is larger than the universe yesterday, and that tomorrow it will be bigger than today. If this is so, then the universe today is much bigger than the universe a century ago, which was bigger than the universe a thousand years ago. In other words, as we move back in time the universe will be smaller and smaller, until we reach a point, some 13,800 million years ago, in which the universe was the size of an atom, and before that moment nothing existed. There was no matter in the universe, no energy, no light, time didn’t exist, nothing existed. And if nothing existed, how did the universe begin? The answer is that nothing existed, except  God. And that God created the universe in an enormous explosion, commonly denominated the “Big Bang” which started time, energy, light, matter and everything we know in creation. Modern science has fully corroborated that the Big Bang was the origin of the universe. And if there was nothing before the Big Bang, it was necessary the existence, before creation, of a Creator infinitely powerful and knowledgeable to make out of nothing all the marvels that surround us. The DNA molecule is a very long and complex molecule which contains extremely precise information to create some 30,000 different proteins in the body. In order to create a protein, the information present in the DNA molecule must be read by enzymes (a type of protein).  So which came first, the DNA or the enzymes? How was the first molecule of DNA created if there were no enzymes? The complexity of the DNA molecule is such that it is mathematically impossible for DNA (and life)  to have come into existence randomly, without a Creator.

We know that a species can adapt itself to certain circumstances that surround it, for example birds of same species

may have different colors of feathers, or the length of their beak be different, according to the environment where they exist.

Nevertheless, there is no basis or proof of any type to sustain the theory that life began in miniscule unicellular beings
